Connecting your social accounts
Connect Threads, Facebook Pages, Instagram, Meta Ads and TikTok — and fix it when a connection does not appear.

Everything in Dukun Ads runs through connected accounts: autopilot needs somewhere to publish, and the ads tools need an ad account. All connections use the platform's official login (OAuth) — you sign in on the platform's own page and it issues a token. Dukun Ads never sees or stores your password, and you can revoke access from the platform at any time.
Everything below happens at /accounts.
| Plan | Social accounts | Meta Ads accounts |
|---|---|---|
| Free trial | 1 | 1 |
| Starter — $10/mo | 5 | 1 |
| Pro — $19/mo | 15 | 3 |
| Business — $45/mo | 50 | 10 |
Need more than your plan allows? Account add-ons are available on /billing: +5 accounts for $10 and +15 accounts for $19, which stay active as long as your subscription does.
Step by step
Open the accounts page
Go to /accounts. The header shows how many accounts you have connected against your plan limit. Below it are the connect tiles, and under those, My Accounts — everything already connected, grouped by platform.
Connecting requires an active plan or trial. If neither is active you will be sent to /billing first.
Connect Threads, Facebook, Instagram or Meta Ads
These four connect through Meta. Click the tile you want — 🧵 Threads, 📘 Facebook Page, 📸 Instagram or 📊 Meta Ads — and a login window opens.
- Sign in to Meta in the popup window.
- Grant the permissions requested. For a Facebook Page you must grant the posting permission, or scheduled posts will fail later.
- Select the Page or ad account you want to use.
- Close the popup. Dukun Ads polls for the new account automatically for a few minutes.
When it succeeds you will see a confirmation naming the accounts that were connected. For Threads and Meta Ads you may need to activate the slot in the dashboard first, then press ↻ Check accounts in the section header to pull it in.
Connect TikTok by login
Click the 🎵 TikTok tile. Before the login opens, you are asked to type the TikTok username you are about to log in with — this is a safety check that makes sure the account you connect is the one you meant.
Enter the handle (for example
@myshop), press Continue → Log In, and complete the TikTok login in the popup. If you log into a different account than the one you typed, Dukun Ads tells you and refuses the connection rather than silently attaching the wrong account.Connect TikTok by QR code
If you are already logged into TikTok on your phone, the QR route is faster. Click 🎵 TikTok (QR) and a QR code appears.
- Open the TikTok app on your phone.
- Go to Profile → ☰ → Settings → Scan QR.
- Scan the code on screen.
- Confirm the login in the app.
The status message updates as you go: waiting for scan, scanned, confirmed, then connected. The code expires after five minutes — press Generate New QR if it lapses.
Check the account status
Each connected account appears as a card in My Accounts with its display name, handle, follower count and a status chip:
- ACTIVE — ready to publish.
- NEEDS RECONNECT — the token expired or a permission was removed. Reconnect the account through the same tile.
Threads accounts also show a 🖼️ text → image card chip. Threads posts published through the connector are text-only, so a text post is automatically rendered as an image card where required.
Go straight to what the account is for
Each card has shortcuts. 📊 Dashboard on a Meta Ads account opens its ads dashboard. 🛸 Autopilot on a posting account opens /autopilot with that account already expanded. Remove disconnects the account.
When an account will not appear
- Press ↻ Check accounts. Meta accounts are claimed by polling, and a slow response sometimes means the first pass missed it.
- Make sure the popup was not blocked by your browser. This is the single most common cause.
- Confirm you selected a Page or ad account during the Meta flow — skipping that screen connects nothing.
- Check you are not at your plan's account limit. The header shows your current count.
- Reconnect and grant every permission requested. A partially granted connection often appears to work and then fails at publish time.
